im getting the same error! any ideas on how to fix this? i havent seen any tutorials?

Try adding some external proxy servers to your proxy list beneath
socks5 127.0.0.1 9050
Three or four to start with.

Search for free proxy servers or you can get them from here:-
spys.one/en/
Obviously the more you add the more difficult it is to be traced but also the greater the latency.

With proxychains.conf set to dynamic any proxy server that's down will be skipped. Hence you'll need at least three or four. Always check your external IP to confirm.

>proxychains firefox is all you need to enter. All firefox traffic will pass through proxychains thereafter. You'll see this in the terminal. This stops though when you quit proxychains obviously.

Web browsing through proxy servers will be slower, and expect having to resend.
Finally, if you're using free proxy servers you'll be regularly changing proxychains.conf

There are tutorials on Null-byte and Youtube.

Are you sure that your socks5/socks4 port is 9050? I think that your problem might be in that. Run a command 'netstat -tupln' and see what your port is for your proxy. Then go back to the proxychains.conf file (in nano) and change the port to your port shown in the netstat command (if different). This fixed it for me.
